All schools should take students on overseas trips 

I think overseas trips would be an excellence way for us to share what we do here in FFL. I feel like most schools probably don't work they way we do, so us being able to share with other students will be cool and interesting. I feel like we'll get a lot of information out to them. Being able to work with others students would be a big change for us because we never work with other schools so it'll be fun. If this goes through and we're able able to go on overseas trips we'll also be able to learn new things, explore new things and meet new people. Basically that is all one side to my point, not only can we show other students what we learn here in FFL other classes can also collaborate and work with them. Maybe our students and their students are working around the same arrears and may want to share ideas to have more knowledge and ideas around their topics to getting a higher mark?. I feel like if we go on overseas trips it'll make students much more happier, parents shouldn't have to worry about costs so much so we could do a  fundraiser as a school to make sure money isn't a problem we the trip time comes around. 

Task 1

Main Idea: To show people how being online to much can effect your brain & body.
Questions I have: I think I have Phantom Vibration Syndrome, is that bad?  
A summary of the video: That 1/3 of the world is using online resources and clearly have a major influence on social media. That 5 to 10 percent of social media users can't control how much time they usually spend online. The video creator's wanted to provide information to let people know how spending to much time online can effect you and your brain & body. 

Task 2
What is most important?- In the video the most important part would have to be how 1/3 of the world is currently using online social media. I can say I am always using online social medias, for the past three- four years I have been doing school work online. I am an everyday user, I spent at less 10-15 hours on & off a day on social media. I am still physically active for hours in between every time I am using social media so i think it's okay. So I think this is important because I can relate to it and also others around me can too. 
What helps me remember the main ideas- Since i am basically apart of that 1/3 of the world social media users I just know that it is effect able. 

Reducing Notes: So basically from the video I remember that 1/3 of the world is currently using social media. 
-That 5-10 percent can not control their time usage online. 
-That being online can effect your brain & body.

• A talk to parents about how phonics can help children who struggle with reading and writing by showing them how to crack the code.
• Modern phonics is about explaining the history of English and how our spelling became the way it is.
• A lot of parents were consented about their children learning abilities. 
•  That many students are struggling.
• More than a third of our children are below national standards in writing and some of this will be because of spelling. 
• One complication is that spelling is low status as a subject to teach, 
• Spelling is classed as a not important subject. 
• A third complication is the digital age, our students are growing up in a world of instant messaging using different platforms in which invented spelling hz bcum gr8 and valid. 
• Students are receiving contradictory messages; at school, correct spelling is normal and outside of school, texting, snap chat, tweets are in abbreviated text speak and as long as it sounds right then this is also normal.
• A single spelling mistake can ruin the chance of a job when you send in an application. In the workplace, a text message or email sent with a spelling mistake puts the sender and the company in a bad light.
• Spelling is more important than ever in this digital age. Yes, there are predictive spell checkers and this technology helps but a lot of spelling mistakes slip through. Students who struggle with spelling are particularly on the back foot because the spell-check software is often not sure what they have written and gives a word they did not mean to say.

Should zoo animals that attack keepers be put down?

I am personally against animals having to be in zoos, I think zoos are a cruel & selfish way of people wanting to make money. If humans want to keep animals captured and think they have full control over them that should be their fault if they attack them. Animals shouldn't have to be kept in a enclosure just to provide selfish human needs. If an animal attacks a work I think they shouldn't be but down because its not their fault they're stuck in with humans all day everyday.

He steal another one, but it was too slow, and he barely dent it when he crashed the car into a tree. The police arrive and charge the man with auto theft. While being questioned he stab himself in the chest with a knife. Quick action by the police officers saved the mans life. On the way to his cell, he jump out through a third story window. A snow pile broken his fall.

Is there life outta space

Yes I do think there is life out of space, when I say I do think there is living things out of space i don’t mean just aliens or other creatures I mean things like stars that are giving us a bit of light at night. However, everything may look infinitesimal to use but they’re actually bigger they are just so far from us. So much people search everyday for sorts of living things with there high quality resources have been trying to find life outer space.  Although people would love to go explore space themselves to find more living things it’s nearly impossible.

Strategies for learning new words

Majority of the times I  learn new words from watching TV shows, Youtube videos & movies. I find hearing words is more easier to comprehend as to reading them and having to think about it to fit it into the sentence I was reading. So hearing words is a way I like to learn them. But If I am reading and come across a big word it stays in my head because it annoys me and I end up searching it up after I’m finish and find the definition.

Analysed- Analysing is when you put work into more detail, explain the situation a bit more than it already is, usually to clear understanding.

Novel- Novel is a type of book.

Potential- Having something/someone you are willing to work on, learn with, grow with & improve with throughout time & into the future.

Experience-  Experience is being able to try new things, a learn from it.

Contributed- Showing a way of putting yourself forward to help out in some sort of event.

Task 2

Body language- Body language is communication by movement or position, particularly facial expressions, gestures and the relative positions of a speaker and listener. It may be the message being conveyed or it may add layers of meaning to the spoken words.

Camera work/film techniques- A camera shot is the amount of space that is seen in one shot or frame. Camera shots are used to demonstrate different aspects of a film's setting, characters and themes. As a result, camera shots are very important in shaping meaning in a film. This is also known as an establishing shot.

Dialogue- An exchange of ideas or opinions on a particular issue, especially a political or religious issue, with a view to reaching an amicable agreement or settlement.

Editing- film editing is the art, technique, and practice of assembling shots into a coherent sequence.

Lighting- The use of various light sources, both artificial and natural, to achieve some aesthetic or practical effect while illuminating a scene

Music- A film score (also sometimes called background score, background music, movie soundtrack, film music or incidental music) is original music written specifically to accompany a film.

Narration/voice over- In voice-over narration, one hears a voice (sometimes that of the main character) narrating the events that are being presented to you.

Special effects- Special effects (often abbreviated as SFX, SPFX, or simply FX) are illusions or visual tricks used in the film, television, theatre, video game, and simulator industries to simulate the imagined events in a story or virtual world.

Structure-  Script writing follows certain conventions (ways of doing things).  If you don't understand these, your credibility in the film business will be limited, especially when you try to communicate your ideas to others in the business.

Use of voice- The voice of an unseen narrator speaking (as in a motion picture or television commercial)

Task 1

1. Describe ONE friendship that was important in the film. Explain how the friendship helped you to understand one character in the film. Use examples from the film to support your idea.

The mother & sons relationship had to be the most important relationship in the movie. Trevor helped his mother change her alcoholic ways, he taught her how to forgive & love. Not only did Trevor’s mum learn from Trevor, Trevor also learnt from her, he learnt the value of respect & trust, he always learnt that sticking up for others & helping others is a kind way to show love. For example in the movie Trevor hated his abusive father but his mother couldn’t let him go, she’d always accept him back into their house. But after time passed his mother realised the damage the father was doing to Trevor so she grew some nerves and told him to leave, that was a big step up for the mother to do but she knew it was the healthiest & right thing for Trevor.  I think Trevor helping his friend out when he was always getting bullied was strong of him.

2. Describe ONE idea that was worth learning about in “Pay it forward” Explain why the idea was worth learning about.

Trevor’s friend was always getting bullied from these two seniors. Trevor witnessed it everyday but he knew he wasn’t strong enough to take them on, he knew if he was to tell or anything he’d be the next one to be bullied. Towards the end of the movie Trevor had enough of seeing everything that was happening to his friend so he tried to jump in and help his friend. The two senior boys ended up knifing Trevor.

We visit the Childrenn’s Museum and attend a play at the community center. Last year grandmother invited the neighborhood grils to a tea party at her home. We all dressd up in hats and furs. My week with grandmother is always very specail.
